4. Blueberry-Cinnamon Campfire Bread

This simple and easy Blueberry-Cinnamon Bread recipe from Taste of Home will make your camping trips much sweeter! This dish requires 7 ingredients, but it is super simple. The ingredients include cinnamon raisin bread, eggs, 2% milk, maple syrup, vanilla extract, pecans, and blueberries.

Prepare a campfire or grill for low heat. Arrange bread slices on a greased pan, then line pan with two layers of heavy-duty foil. Bring foil up the sides of the pan, leaving the top open. Whisk eggs, milk, syrup, and vanilla together. Pour wet mixture over bread; sprinkle with nuts and 1 cup blueberries. Fold edges over top, crimping to seal.

Place on a grill grate over the campfire until the eggs are cooked through. Remove from heat; let stand for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining blueberries; serve with additional maple syrup if desired.

3. Camper’s Breakfast Hash

The ingredients are butter, shredded hashbrowns, breakfast sausages, onion, green pepper, eggs, shredded cheddar cheese, and salt & pepper. 

In a deep 12-inch cast-iron skillet, melt the butter. Next, add the potatoes, sausage, onion, and green pepper. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat until potatoes are lightly browned, only turning them once. 

Push your potato mixture toward the edge of the pan. Pour the eggs into the center of the pan. Cook and stir over medium heat until eggs are completely set. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat; stir eggs into potato mixture. Top with cheese; cover and cook until cheese is melted, 1-2 minutes.

2. Ham and Jack Pudgy Pies 

This simple and easy Ham and Jack Pudgy Pie recipe from Taste of Home will make you want to lengthen your camping trips! This dish requires 5 ingredients, but it is so savory.  The ingredients include sourdough bread, fully cooked ham, mushrooms, pepper jack cheese, and salsa. 

Place 1 slice of bread in a greased iron pan. Top with ham, mushrooms, cheese, salsa, and remaining bread slices. Close iron. Cook over a hot campfire until golden brown and cheese is melted, 3-6 minutes, turning occasionally.

1. Dutch Oven Cheesy Bacon & Eggs 

This simple and easy Dutch Oven Cheesy Bacon & Eggs recipe from Taste of Home will make you want to invite people on your camping trips! This dish requires 6 ingredients; it is so cheesy. The ingredients consist of bacon, hash brown patties, eggs, half and half cream, hot sauce, and shredded cheddar Monterey jack cheese. 

Prepare campfire or grill for medium-high heat, using 32-36 charcoal briquettes or large wood chips. In a 10-in. Dutch oven, cook bacon over campfire until crisp, stirring occasionally. Remove with a slotted spoon; drain on paper towels. Discard drippings, reserving 2 tablespoons in pan. 

Carefully press potatoes onto bottom of Dutch oven. In a small bowl, whisk eggs, cream, and, if desired, pepper sauce until blended. Pour over potatoes, and sprinkle with cooked bacon and cheese. Cover the Dutch oven. When briquettes or wood chips are covered with white ash, place the Dutch oven directly on top of 16-18 briquettes. Using long-handled tongs, place 16-18 briquettes on pan cover.

Cook 20-25 minutes or until eggs are completely set and cheese is melted. To check for doneness, use tongs to carefully lift the cover.
