There have been countless times we have heard complaints about the amount of money they ended up spending there after finding out another place has the same products for less. Yes, we are aware that Sephora offers more than just makeup.
However, it still leaves us wondering if these two eyeliner pencils were really worth $50.00. Many people are starting to find Sephora overrated, and sorry, not sorry, we agree! We will be exploring the reasons why this store is falling way below the radar and into the overrated pile.
Sephora’s Downward Spiral
Throughout the last few years, there has not been as much chatter about people hitting up Sephora for assorted beauty products. Not even the teens are going crazy for Sephora anymore. They sell many high-end name brands which is obviously the reason for the high-end price point. Furthermore, the former Sephora fanatics are now gravitating over to other stores that are more affordable.
Additionally, shoppers have noticed that Sephora’s products are made with the same ingredients as the makeup at the beauty supply stores. So, there is no point in wasting that type of money unless you’re just looking to be able to mention to others you were able to shop there. Say it with us, Sephora is OVERPRICED and OVERRATED! This store used to be heaven for all makeup lovers but due to their high prices, they are no longer thought to be that haven.
Rumor Has It… Ulta Is Better
If you are anything like most of us, you hope to find your beauty products at a more affordable price range. If you have ever taken a trip to Ulta or visited their website, then you more than likely have noticed that you will be leaving with a lot of different items for about a quarter to half the price of what you would have been paying at Sephora.
The fact of the matter is when you spend your money at Ulta, you get way more bang for your buck. This means besides the beauty products you’re buying, you also get freebies that are better than what Sephora offers, and participating in their point reward system actually pays off.
Sephora Shopping: Don’t Go Broke
It is always a good idea to get your money’s worth anytime you go shopping especially if you are investing in some good makeup. Whether you decide to shop at Sephora, Ulta, or a local beauty supply store, it is ultimately up to you. If you notice Sephora has products that other stores do not carry then keep on shopping there. But, if you actually like saving some of your monthly spending money then we suggest you ponder over other affordable options.
