Looking for a cat puzzle for your finicky feline? These puzzles can be stimulating mentally for your kitty and improve paw-eye coordination. They can also be ideal for your overzealous cats, who tend to stuff and chuck when they get a special treat. Not every feisty feline loves puzzles; some are confused about why their food is in plastic captivity. Many kitties, however, will find hours of entertainment with a treat puzzle. You’ll also be shocked at how smart and creative your cat is (or isn’t).
3) Catstages Slow Feeder Bowl
This is one of the more simple, easy-to-use slow feeder puzzles for your cat. It’s a level-one cat puzzle. We use this one for our cat, who is a little bit new to and unsure of the concept of a puzzle. This is also our go-to for our senior cat, who doesn’t have the same level of dexterity as he used to. User experience may vary, but our elderly kitty does yoga poses while pawing his treats out of this slow feeder. Bonus points if your fuzzy friend does as well!
If you have an advanced kitty who prefers a challenge, they will get bored with this feeder immediately. It’s also a little tough to clean all the nooks and crannies out, so it’s not the most convenient to clean. This puzzle isn’t for every feline, but two of our fur babies give two paws up on this one.
2) Cat Amazing Maze and Puzzle
This maze-puzzle is much loved by two of our kitties. It’s not exactly durable, and you can’t wash it either. Those of us obsessed with cleanliness may find the lack of scrubability difficult emotionally.
However, two of our cats also give a high-pete on this one as well. It’s not for your novice cat, but it’s great for your babies, who are a little more advanced. The maze has varying levels of difficulty for your furry friend to paw a treat out, so you can select the level of challenge you want your cat to try. I like putting treats in multiple places in the maze so my cat can get some “easily” and some level-hard. You’ll test your cat’s perseverance with this cat puzzle.
1) All For Paws Cat Puzzle
This is a 10/10 puzzle for two of our fur babies. Once again, this puzzle is far too advanced for our novice kitty, who prefers his treats accessible. However, our more intellectual and food-motivated cats love this one. We’ve used this puzzle for years, and it never gets old for our darlings. You can organize the white barriers around to make it more challenging or easier for your feline.
This is also cat-mom-approved. It’s durable and easy to clean. Fun for you and your fur baby. If you haven’t tried a cat puzzle before, we would recommend this one paws down.
