Raising Cane’s is undoubtedly best known for its food. The fried chicken they serve, among other things on their purposefully limited menu, is what drove them to prominence beginning in 1996. Today, they have well over 700 restaurants in the United States and a few other countries. They frequently host events with A-list celebrities and athletes. Now, they’re launching a couple of merchandise lines. Total Apex was sent a few items from the new lines.
Raising Cane’s Western Merch
Among the two new lines of merchandise the restaurant is officially launching is a Western-themed section. This set officially went live on September 9, and the press release for the items reads, “This line ropes in rich, earthy tones and soft pastels, blending rugged workwear with chic cowboy accessories. Bringing a dash of romance and a hint of adventure to everyday style, it’s perfect for those ready to ride off into the fashion sunset.” These items can be found on the official Raising Cane’s Western website.
Denim jackets, sweatshirts, hats, bandanas, keychains, pins, and more are among them. Some of the best-selling items include the Cowboy Skull Hooded Sweatshirt, Long Live Raising Cane’s Pin Set, Desert Rider Tee, and Raising Cane’s belt buckle. Pricing ranges from $10 to $80. The restaurant was first launched in Louisiana, but they have restaurants scattered all throughout Cowboy Country in the United States. That style has become part of their brand, particularly going with the Post Malone and Dallas Cowboys-themed restaurant in Dallas, and this merchandise line fits in with that.
Collegiate Merch
The chicken restaurant didn’t just launch a Western line to coincide with a piece of their brand identity. It also introduced a line of collegiate-themed items, as if Raising Cane’s was a university and not a fast-casual restaurant. This is a very different set of items than the above, and it can be found at the Collegiate merchandise site. The press release implores people to “get a taste of style as bold as a Box Combo! With eye-catching monogramming, elegant cursive details, and rich textures, each piece serves up classic colors with a modern edge – perfect for those who like their fashion as fresh as their chicken!” This collection is slightly older, debuting on August 22.
The line includes varsity jackets, t-shirts, hoodies, hats, a bag, socks, and more. For the launch of this line, Total Apex was sent a hoodie, a bag, patches, and a pair of socks. The price range for this goes from $7.49 for the patch to $62.99 for the varsity jacket. This collection is currently a little more limited than the Western one.
BrüMate x Raising Cane’s
BrüMate, which is one of the most popular drinkware brands today, is collaborating with Raising Cane’s. They designed four all-new branded leak-proof tumblers that are only available in two locations: the official website and the flagship restaurant in New York City. There are two tumblers (one of which Total Apex was sent), a can cooler, a mug, and a classic bottle. The bottle and tumblers are available in two sizes, ranging from $39.99 to $44.99.
In Conclusion
Raising Cane’s is quickly becoming a brand and not just a restaurant. It’s not uncommon for food industry entities to do different things, as Chick-fil-A and a few others also have merchandise lines. However, the company founded in 1996 by Todd Graves, who has told Total Apex before that he couldn’t have predicted what his one restaurant would become, has branched far beyond the norm. They’ve opened restaurants for singers, invited MLB Hall of Famers to events, and now, they have merchandise so fans can represent them officially.
