I’m just going to come straight out and say it. Air Force One Sneakers are absolutely horrible. I know most people will disagree with me, but I just don’t see the hype behind Air Force Ones. However, I can’t see why they have been so popular throughout the years. If you are a fan of the homely style then the Air Force Ones are most definitely for you.
Why Are Air Force Ones Underwhelming?
Now to explain why Air Forces are trash, let’s start with the overall construction of these sneakers. Air Force Ones are actually meant to be comfortable because they are technically supposed to be basketball shoes. Yet, I can not imagine anyone who plays sports attempting to wear Air Force Ones. They aren’t comfortable, they crease very easily, and no matter what the design is these sneakers still don’t make the cut. There is subsequently no real ankle support, they weigh entirely too much, and they’re tough on the ball and arches of your feet. I have already mentioned that these sneakers are not the most comfortable to wear but here is the reason why:
- They do not expand or stretch overtime
- The sneaker has low pressure (barely any cushioning)
- They are stiff and heavy which makes them good for short walks only
- Their material is low-quality
Yes, I get that they are meant to be durable. However, walking in Air Force Ones feels like you’re walking barefoot on concrete. No matter how often you use them they do not get more comfortable.
Air Force Ones Are Not Visually Appealing
Air Force Ones are a classic and a go-to for many men, women, boys, and girls. Even though I thoroughly find that hand to fathom because they are not much to look at. The Air Force shoe designs tend to be very simple. There are not many changes done to the shoe overall, just a plain design added to it. That is if you can even consider them designs. These sneakers just look worn down and worn out over time. Unfortunately, though I do not ever see these sneakers going out of style since they are considered a staple in streetwear fashion. I wonder how long people will be entertaining the idea that the Air Force Ones are fashionable. I guess only time will tell.
