Ed Gale’s Niece Pays Tribute

“He lit up the silver screens in cult classic films like ‘Howard the Duck’ and ‘Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town,’ earning himself some serious street cred at every con he attended. Which he never stopped bragging about. Ever,” Kayse wrote on Facebook. “Over the course of his career, he appeared in over 130 movies, TV shows, and commercials. “

She added, “With this wide-ranging body of work, he leaves behind a legacy full of questionable lighting and amazing one-liners. Ed’s favorite role was that of the ‘fun uncle.’ His love language was sharing his love of the entertainment industry and the magic of Hollywood with his nieces.”

“Ed loved 7-Eleven hot dogs with disgusting amounts of ketchup. He enjoyed reminiscing about his glory days, DJing at the Plainwell roller rink. He hated Bill Maher for no good reason,” Kayse continued. “He delighted in the slow buildup of telling a good story and cheating at cribbage. He had one hell of a laugh, and he will be missed. Rest in love, you cranky b—— 💕 Final arrangements are pending.”

Ed Gale’s Movie Debut in 1986

In 1986, Gale debuted in the movie ‘Howard the Duck’ in which he played Howard. He also appeared in the movie ‘Spaceballs,’ but he was best known for playing the horror icon Chucky, a possessed killer doll.

“Ed was a pleasure to work with on Child’s Play and played an important role in helping me sell the action of Chucky and thus a reason to fear Chucky,” filmmaker Tom Holland, the director of the original “Chucky’ movie, said in a statement. “Ed was always ready to go when I called action.” Gale’s life was not untouched by allegations and controversy. In 2023, he was caught by a “child advocacy group” attempting to meet and have sex with minors.

Creeper Catcher Unit

The group known as “Creep Catcher Unit” confronted Gale on April 14. Gale was confronted with documents that allegedly contained sexual conversations Gale had with a decoy, who was pretending to be a minor boy, who went by the nickname “Ghost” to protect his identity.

The decoy says that “days leading up to the meeting, (Gale) got very, very graphic. He talked about how he wanted to be inside the kid. He told the decoy to bring a bunch of souvenirs, so he could… autograph them,” Ghost claimed. “But throughout the chats, he would ask for child pornography.”

Ed Gale Confesses

When confronted, Gale confessed. “I tried to get a naked picture from (Ghost), yes.” He would later describe the X-rated conversation he had with “Ghost” as “a whole hook-up in the making.” Gale, who was 3’4”, admitted that he had spoken to at least 10 possible victims.

“Yes, I’m admitting I know it was wrong and it was illegal,” Gale said. “I’m admitting that, and I’m sorry.” The decoy, Ghost, said Gail wasn’t surprised that he was caught.“‘I knew this was going to happen!” Ghost recollected. “He basically admitted to everything. He admitted to wanting to have sex with this kid. He said it could have gone down if the kid wanted it,Gale said.

The LAPD made the decision not to arrest Gale. One officer on the scene said at the time that the decision came because of Gale’s health condition at the time. Gale’s cause of death has not been revealed.
