Donald Trump’s annual physical exam results are out, determining whether he is healthy enough to lead the nation in 2025.  Last Friday, President Trump, 78, had his physical exam at the Walter Reed National Military Center. The process included laboratory and diagnostic testing and consultations with multiple specialists.

Donald Trump’s Physical Exam Vitals

Like most physical exams, Trump’s vital statistics, including his height, weight, and body temperature, were noted. He is 75 inches tall, which is 6 feet 4 inches, and weighs 224 pounds, 20 pounds less than his 2020 Presidential physical exam. The President’s temperature was 98.6 Fahrenheit.

Heart rate and blood pressure were also measured during the physical exam. Trump’s resting heart rate is 62 beats per minute, his blood pressure is 128/74 mmHg, and his pulse is 99% as taken on room air. During the exam, gunshot wound scarring was noted on his right ear.

State of Health

The Trump physical exam included consultations with 14 specialists, an abdominal ultrasound, bloodwork, a neurological exam, and an electrocardiogram. The exam report noted that a 2024 colonoscopy detected a benign polyp and diverticulosis. A gastroenterologist recommended a follow-up colonoscopy in 2027. The President is up-to-date on vaccinations.

In 2020, Donald Trump spent three nights at Walter Reed, the location of his latest physical exam. He was admitted for a serious case of coronavirus infection. Currently, he is on four medications, including cholesterol-control medications Ezetimibe and Rosuvastatin, Mometasone cream for the skin, and aspirin for cardiac health.

State of Mind

Donald Trump completed the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, called MoCA, during the neurological exam. This cognitive test is frequently used to gauge cognitive function in older adults. He completed all 30 test questions correctly, as he did when tested in 2018.

Trump was also screened for depression and anxiety and was found to be in a normal range for both. No abnormalities were found with his mental status. The President’s “lifelong abstinence from tobacco and alcohol” was further noted in his medical history.

Fit to Lead the Nation

According to the physician for the President, Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbabella, “President Trump remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function.” Barbabella’s release further states, “President Trump’s days include participation in multiple meetings, public appearances, press availability, and frequent victories in golf events. President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”

Presidents are not required to undergo annual physical exams or share medical information with the public. Donald Trump stated after his recent physical exam, “Overall, I felt I was in very good shape. Good heart. A good soul. Very good soul.” According to these recent Trump physical exam results, he is fit and ready to lead the country.
