Altus Power, Inc. (AMPS) led the pack for Monday’s Penny Stock winners, closing at $4.95, with little movement. Coming in Second behind Atlus were Bluebird Bio, Inc. (BLUE), which closed Monday’s trading at $4.88, up 19.61%, and Asp Isotopes Inc.(ASPI) to round out the top three at $4.69, up roughly fifty cents.

While Atlus won the day on price, its price change came up short against BlueBird. BlueBird, known for gene therapy, closed with a change of plus .80 cents, compared to a one-cent uptick for Atlus Power.  All three penny stocks did well considering the market drops and trader woes concerning tariffs that are supposed to take effect this week.

According to reports, U.S. President Donald Trump has deemed April 2 “Liberation Day,” a day on which he plans to roll out tariffs or taxes on imports from other countries. Even with these upcoming changes on the horizon, penny stocks didn’t get shaken.

Penny Stock Winners (Price Change): Bluebird Bio Inc. Gets Cash Injection

According to a Reuters report, Bluebird Bio’s jump in price may be attributed to a recent press release stating the gene therapy maker was reviewing an offer by Ayrmid, a parent company of cell therapy developer Gamida Cell.  The company, reports state, offered to acquire Bluebird for $4.50 per share upfront, totaling more than $40 million. A Business Wire report stated this offer was separate from the reported merger announced in February by Carlyle and SK Capital Partners, LP.  According to that report, Bluebird has already entered into a definitive agreement with the global investment firm.
