Earlier this week, an incident took place that has the political world talking and rumors swirling. The situation involves two of Trump’s most trusted allies, Elon Musk and Trump’s Chief of Staff Stephen Miller. Stephen Miller’s wife, Katie Miller, has left the White House with Elon Musk. Reportedly, Miller has taken a full-time job at one of the billionaire’s companies. Katie Miller had been an advisor and spokesperson for the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which was run by Musk.
Katie Miller Leaves DC With Elon
Katie Miller had been working as a special government employee since Trump’s reelection. Earlier in the year, she was reportedly being paid by the Republican consulting firm P2 Public Affairs, where she worked with private clients of the company that included Apple. She stepped away from P2 Public Affairs to work with Elon at DOGE and now will work for Musk in the private sector.
Miller’s employment as a special government employee expired on Friday. There is a 130-day statutory limit of service for special government employees. Reportedly, she will now be in charge of helping Elon set up interviews that are unrelated to his work in the government. Elon stepped down as the head of DOGE the same day that Miller left the White House.
The Miller’s History
Both Katie and Stephen Miller played important roles in Musk’s orbit during his time in the White House. The Millers first met in 2017 while carrying out Trump’s controversial immigration policies during his first term. Kate was Trump’s deputy press secretary for the Department of Homeland Security.
In 2019, Katie Miller would later become the press secretary for then-Vice President Mike Pence. In 2020, the couple married at the Trump International Hotel located in Washington, D.C. They have three children together.
Musk Criticizes Trump’s Bill
Surprisingly, Musk did several interviews this week complaining about “White House betrayal” and criticizing Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” which Trump is attempting to push through Congress. When Miller’s exit became public, it quickly sparked speculation about her marriage and had the term “throuple” trending on Musk’s social media platform X and other platforms.
Social Media ‘Throuple’ Rumors
“If you think you’ve made poor life decisions, there is a woman who not only married Stephen Miller, she left him for Elon Musk,” wrote Volatile Mermaid on Bluesky. “Inside you are two weird d—-,” posted April Wolfe on Bluesky. “This is about Katie Miller.” Writer Shiv Ramdas Lord wrote, “If you thought Stephen Miller hated immigrants before.”
“I read the words ‘Stephen Miller’ and ‘throuple’ then passed out for like 20 minutes,” wrote Rex Huppke, a writer for USA Today. “Has it stopped yet, or are all the worst things imaginable still happening all at once?”
No One Has Responded To Rumors
“Congratulations to Katie Miller for being literally the only woman in the world for whom joining Elon Musk’s harem would be a step up,” posted James Palmer, deputy editor of Foreign Policy. Neither the Millers nor Musk has responded to the rampant rumors.
