According to new information, the next Pro iPhone will see a significant change to the design of its screen.

Apple’s Display is Looking Rather Bright

While display sizes have adjusted in recent years, the Dynamic Island has remained a constant fixture since its introduction. A separate report now promises a striking upgrade for the iPhone 18 display, with greater brightness on offer. The Dynamic Island, that lozenge-shaped area near the top of the display, first appeared on the iPhone 14 Pro.

It replaced the larger notch found on earlier Face ID models and is currently featured only on the iPhone 16 in Apple’s lineup. Although it has not changed since its debut, a new report claims it will be different on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. The updated information states that the Dynamic Island cutout width on the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be reduced by approximately 35 percent. This smaller cutout will create a big visual difference, making the new models instantly recognizable. This reduction may be achieved by moving the flood illuminator for Face ID under the display itself.

Not all models will share this update. Previous leaks suggest the change coming to the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will not extend to the standard iPhone 18 or a rumored iPhone Air 2.
