Donald Trump Makes Deranged Easter Morning Post Sparking Backlash

Donld Trump makes controversial Easter post.

On Easter morning, President Donald Trump posted a holiday message that had nothing to do with the Christian holiday but was instead a deranged attack on his critics and former President Joe Biden. He quickly received backlash from both sides of the aisle. Despite his non-Christian comments, white evangelical Christians remain the core part of his political base, with more than 75% supporting Trump’s campaigns, a new Pew Research study shows.

Truth Social Easter Post

In 2020, Trump announced that he identified as a non-denominational Christian, but before that, he identified as a Presbyterian. On Sunday, Trump used his Truth Social account to address the nation on Easter. Instead of wishing the nation a happy holiday, he went off on an off-the-wall rant.

“Happy Easter to all, Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well-known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country.” But he wasn’t done there; he also fired shots at the writing

“Happy Easter also to the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials who are allowing this sinister attack on our Nation to continue, an attack so violent that it will never be forgotten!”

He Then Attacked Biden

He wrapped up his post with an attack on former President Joe Biden over his “open borders policy,” writing to all the targeted groups after just attacking them, he went on to wish them, “with great love, sincerity, and affection, a very Happy Easter!!!”

“But to him, and to the person that ran and manipulated the Auto Pen (perhaps our REAL President!), and to all of the people who CHEATED in the 2020 Presidential Election in order to get this highly destructive Moron Elected, I wish you, with great love, sincerity, and affection, a very Happy Easter!!!” Trump added later.

Critics Speak Out

The Truth Social post quickly garnered backlash from both Democrats and Republicans online. Many critics called him out for his temperament on a Christian holiday. “Dear Christians who think Trump is the savior, here is his inspiring Easter message of forgiveness and resurrection,” wrote Adam Kinzinger, a former Republican representative from Illinois, on X.

However, Trump’s temper tantrum did not end there, he went on to make a second post, writing, *How many times, Trump mentions Jesus or resurrection: 0 How many times he says Lord: 1, (drug LORDs)”

GOP Supporters Criticize Post

“Donald Trump dedicated his Easter message to attacking the ‘Radical Left Lunatics,‘ ‘the worst and most incompetent President,’ ‘Sleepy Joe Biden,’ and once again falsely claimed he won the 2020 election. Ah, yes, the true spirit of Easter: rage-posting about your political enemies,” posted “Republicans Against Trump, a group of GOP supporters who do not support Trump.

Trump made another Truth Social post later on Sunday, promising to make America “more religious.” In a separate Truth Social post on Sunday, he announced the White House will celebrate Easter with its Easter Egg Roll that will be held on Monday. The yearly event was sponsored this year by Amazon, Meta, and YouTube.

Trump Says Egg Prices Are Too Low

Trump also made comments during a press conference right before Easter about the prices of eggs, a popular item during the Easter holiday: “By the way, prices are down. Groceries are down,” he said. “Eggs, which they-you — hit me so hard. I’ll never forget the first day, the first week in office; they were screaming at me about eggs.”

“I said, ‘What’s going with eggs?’ They were doubling and tripling. I said, ‘I just got here.’ They were up like double, triple, and you couldn’t get any,” he continued. Added Trump: “They said you won’t have eggs for Easter. Well, you can have all the eggs you want.”
