Portrait: Trump Mocked For “Cheesy” New White House Addition

Donald Trump put new cheesy portrait up in White House.

A new portrait has been placed on a wall in the White House. The latest addition has sparked discussion from both sides on social media. The new portrait depicts Donald Trump in front of the images of Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan. Many found the image “cheesy,” and some questioned its historical framing. It is believed that the portrait was created by artist Dick Bobnick. The artwork shows Trump, Lincoln, and Reagan in a manner that attempts to inspire patriotism.

“Great American Patriots” Unveiled

Critics believe the artwork was created to feed Trump’s ever-growing ego. In the past, Trump has repeatedly compared himself to both Lincoln and Reagan. The artwork is titled “Great American Patriots,” and once it was shared on social media, it created quite a buzz. The image was first shared by Shawn McCreesh, a reporter for the New York Times. He shared an image of the portrait on his X page.

Bobnick is a portrait painter and an illustrator. He has decades of experience. He has a website where he sells prints of his work from $27 to $88. Bobnick has the original painting of Trump, Lincoln, and Reagan listed for sale on his website. According to a spokesperson for Bobnick, he hopes his followers “will appreciate the artistry and the positive messages of the piece.”

Critics Speak Out

Critics quickly used social media to label the painting “cheesy” and “embarrassing.” Some users liked the painting, stroking Trump’s overinflated ego. “I would say that this portrait appears to be AI, but it’s obviously devoid of any level of intelligence at all,” one X user wrote

Another X user chimed in with, “Pathetic. I imagine both Lincoln and Reagan would despise President Trump and what he has done to their party.” Another added, “What is his fascination with Abraham Lincoln? I don’t see a single thing that Trump would admire about Honest Abe.”

Portrait Part Of Trump-Era Makeover

The portrait is just part of what has been called a “Trump-era makeover” of the White House. At the beginning of this year, Trump unveiled a painting of himself with his fist raised. The image was taken from a moment that took place after an alleged assassination attempt on Trump during his presidential campaign. The portrait replaced Barack Obama’s official portrait in the East Wing. Obama’s portrait was relocated to another part of the White House.

Trump has also added a golden element to the White House that includes gold coasters with Trump’s name on them, gold trophies, and gold accents and moldings. “It’s the Golden Office for the Golden Age,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said.
