The fabulous and beautiful Alok Vaid-Menon (they/them) is an internationally acclaimed superstar. A poet, comedian, public speaker, and actor, they do it all. They have entertained audiences in over 40 countries. With four works of literature that are known globally, they are unstoppable.
They are also featured in the Netflix comedy series Gender Agenda. They will also take the stage at the “Netflix is a Joke” festival this May. Aside from all of their other accomplishments, they are a fashion ICON. This collection is going to be sick!

The Collection
Ugg is known for the OG fall/winter boots. However, they also have a big selection of colorful slides, sandals, and even clothing. The URSeen collection features a platform clog and a dress. Both are in the pink and green color family to promote self-expression.
If you are wondering what Alok has to say about the collection, we got you. Alok discussed the upcoming collection by saying, “My childhood was about hiding myself, having to cover up, disappear, to not draw attention to myself.”
They followed with, “So, so much of what I was trying to do in this collection with Ugg is to take something audacious like courage and put it into a platform shoe and bodycon dress, so that when people are feeling a little timid, putting on these pieces can actually give you that sense of power.”
Ugg Values and Standards
Ugg has described this collection by saying it is an “expressive offering with and for LGBTQ+ community,” The pieces in this collection are designed to help celebrate the LGBTQ+ community. The celebration highlights creativity, adaptability, and confidence.
Ugg hasn’t stopped here! They even went on to support the LGBTQ+ community by donating $200,000 to It Gets Better, Pacific Pride Foundation, and PFLAG National this past year. Ugg is also going to join the LA Pride Parade with its first pride float on June 9th.
