Robert Krusinowski was a 55-year-old senior and long-term tenant at the Quality Inn in Kissimmee, Florida. He had arrived in the United States on January 1st, 2025, and was being evicted from the establishment.
The Murder Of A Friendly Long-Term Tenant
Krusinowski was known for helping the employment staff of the Quality Inn with various maintenance tasks as needed. He saw that the young man (Castillo) was very manic and upset over being evicted. Krusinowski tried to talk and soothe the young man, making efforts to try to calm the quickly escalating situation. Castilloโs outburst then increased in violence and overall nature, and he violently and repeatedly attacked the elderly man. When the local sheriffs arrived at the scene, he was stomping on the older man, who had already been violently beaten by him prior to his attacks evolving into kicking and stomping.
At one point, the young man had taken a fire extinguisher and beat the elderly victim with it. He also smashed hotel property, including a window to a room that he allegedly broke, entered, and was forced out of before the fatal beating. Due to the extreme violence of the attack, Krusinowski suffered severe head trauma and unfortunately died at the scene. During his detainment and arrest, it was noted that his hands were completely covered in blood.
