On Friday, the family of Virginia Giuffre, 41, revealed that she had died of an apparent suicide in Australia. She was a prominent survivor of Jeffrey Epstein and an outspoken advocate for sex trafficking victims. After her death, tweets resurfaced where she shared, she was ‘not suicidal’ and not to believe it if her death was ruled a suicide. Giuffre was one of the most outspoken women who had accused Epstein of sexual abuse.
She Was Groomed By Epstein
Her family says, “The toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight. ” Virginia Giuffre had shared that she had been a troubled teenager and was getting her life together when she met Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
She says they quickly ‘roped her in’ and groomed her. She once said that Epstein and Maxwell “passed her around like a platter of fruit” to their rich and powerful friends, including England’s Prince Andrew. The prince denied her claim, but in 2022, he settled Giuffre’s lawsuit by paying an undisclosed sum.

After the news of her apparent suicide became public, several prominent X users shared tweets Virginia Giuffre made in 2019. In the post, she wrote that “in no way, shape, or form am I suicidal.”
Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his prison cell in August of 2019 of suicide; however, many critics believe he was murdered. Donald Trump stated during his presidential campaign in 2024, said he would have “no problem” releasing the files connected to the Epstein case. However, little information has been released.
Back in December of 2019, Virginia Guiffre posted on Twitter, now X, in response to a user who wrote, “The F.B.I. will kill her to protect the ultra-rich and well-connected.” “I am making it publicly known that in no way, shape, or form am I suicidal,” she responded.
She added, “I have made this known to my therapist and GP – If something happens to me, in the sake of my family, do not let this go away and help me to protect them. Too many evil people want to see me [quieted],” Virginia Giuffre replied.

House Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene posted an image of Giuffre with Prince Andrew, writing: “Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre has died by ‘suicide.’ The truth needs to come out, more matters who is responsible.”
Giuffre Left Behind Three Children
“There are no words that can express the grave loss we feel today with the passing of our sweet Virginia. She was heroic and will always be remembered for her incredible courage and loving spirit. In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight. We know that she is with the angels,” her family said in a statement.
Virginia Giuffre left behind three children and lived in Western Australia with her children and husband, though there had been reports that she and her husband had been recently separated. According to the Western Australia Police, Giuffre’s death is being investigated, but the “early indication is the death is not suspicious.”
